In a statement released by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about one-third of adults in the United States (U.S.) have high blood pressure. This was based on a long-term study which started in 1980 and culminated in 2005, conducted among 4,861 individuals, between the ages 18-30, from four (4) key U.S. cities.
